Why Visuals Are Special

I just wanted to give a raw look into why I think visuals are so important and please excuse how many time I'll be using the words videos, photos and visuals haha, alright let's get it.

Personal:

A little background: I've been capturing and sharing videos since I was 13 years old, now 24, it started with sharing my cool gaming clips to YouTube, then documenting my life throughout high school and now documenting for others (and myself of course). With that being said, I didn't fully fully realize how special documenting my life would be, I've probably made over 600 videos of my life since high school and now I have these digital time capsules I can watch and share with whoever. Priceless.

I have moments with friends, family, real raw moments in my life captured. If there's one thing you take from this is document, document, document. Don't worry about the quality, film with your iPhone, have it against your chest, don't even try that hard and capture things that make you genuinely happy. Trust me, you won't regret it.

main points:

  • you can go back to any moment, a visual time machine

  • visuals will live on for generations, your kid's kid can watch a video of your life

  • loved ones will be documented

Business:

Let's hit on the business side too, as we move more and more into a digital space, your brand identity is what stands out and your brand identity = anything you put on social media. Having visuals that communicate who YOU are and what you stand for is key. Whether you want to increase your sales, connect more with your audience or just capture something special - content is your best friend!

People buy, connect and support who they trust, you build trust with content. Picking up your phone and sharing how you started your business or struggles you overcame is an easy way to build that. Here are some questions that can help you create content for your business and you can capture this with an iPhone. Who are you as a business/brand? How did it start? Why did you start it? What is your product/service?

main points:

  • content builds trust: people buy, connect and support who they trust

  • anyone in the world can tune into your story, how cool is that?

  • it's your identity, it's your brand

  • milestones/special moments can be documented, priceless

I wanted to make this short and sweet, the more and more I create and share, the more and more I realize how important this is.
